Chronos 2017

Chronos – God of time.

"Anything that is against nature will not endure in the long run." (Darwin)

One smells fully ripe blackberries, some mint, a very deep and juicy fruit. On the palate, the organic cuvée is full and yet fine; Chronos tastes of cherries and berries, has a lot of pressure and structure, looks lively and juicy.
The finish is long and elegant. Big potential!

35-year-old Zweigelt vines, medium-heavy sandy loam soil of
 the hillside Rosenberg;
30-year-old Blaufränkisch vines, grown on the limy, sparse vineyard „Dulnhe“
 (geographical location Zeiselberg).

Harvested by hand in September 2017, fermentation on the mash in a tub for 21 days, mash circulation by hand, malolactic fermentation and 24 months aging in big wooden barrels, minimal sulfur was added

Histamine content: 0,14 mg/l

The label shows the typical plants growing in the two vineyards where Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch come from: Zweigelt is from the vineyard „Rosenberg“ - the flowers are wild roses; Blaufränkisch is from the vineyard „Dulnhe“ (dialectal for „Doldenhöhe“) - the typical flower there are umbellifers.
