The soil here is not sandy and warm, as in typical lake vineyards in Seewinkel, but rather rocky, mostly loamy-gravelly, as it is also known from Leithaberg. Of course, the vines benefit from these soils. The gravel leaves in the wine mineral traces, sometimes even a real salty taste; the coolness of the location also causes a cool wine fruit, so no jam-laden fruit, but fresh fruit with a lively nose.
